Imagine if you could heal yourself?
What would that look like?
Perhaps you will be free of pain. Or that annoying itch in your eye will be gone.
Or maybe your internal suffering will relieved. No more harmful thoughts. No more inner abuse and daily beating yourself up.
When was the last time you tried to heal yourself? What did that look like? What did you do?
Some people like to heal themselves by having some nourishing food or drinks.
Others like to nurture their senses by sitting somewhere in nature.
And others take care of their bodies, going to the gym, running, dancing or taking a yoga class.
But what about your SOUL? What are you doing to nourish your soul?
Perhaps you visit a spiritual healer to take care of this for you. You go to a session or class, spend an hour or two focusing on your soul, then you leave the space, go back to daily life, and things get a bit lost again. Mixed up between the daily routine of family commitments, work, household chores and just general life.
And then, your finances are taking a hit. You can't AFFORD to go see your spiritual healer or attend your favourite class. What do you do then?
Pause.
This is the moment that we want you to breathe into.
In this moment, you have a choice. Did you realise how much power you were giving away, by relying on an external destination for your soul nourishment?
What if you could take care of alot of that, all on your own? Where would you start? What would you do?
Here are our favourite things to do, for self-healing:
1. Breathe
Yes, breathe. Now. Take one, long, slow deep breath in. Hold. And exhaaaaale. Repeat a few times.
2. Share
Share the joys in your life with others. This could be with family, friends, colleagues, your elderly neighbour, your pets, the strangers at the shops. If you have something you really love or admire, share it with someone else! Invite or organise to see someone you think might enjoy it too, and be in that moment of joy together. This could be as simple as a delicious cup of tea. Or a comment to a stranger about "what a beautiful day it is!" Share and be. Together.
3. Laugh
When is the last time you really, really laughed? Pop on your favourite comedy, watch Netflix, get a DVD (yes there are still stores around!). Have some friends over for a night of silly games. Go see a comedy show!
4. Move
Run if you can! Get the blood pumping. If you are unable to walk, try a gentle rotation of your neck. Any movement is good movement.
5. Be Still
Come back to your body, breathe, connect. Slooooooow dooooooown. What's the rush? Take a moment in the shower, or as you're waiting for the kettle to boil, to close your eyes and inhale this moment. You will never have this moment in time again, make the most of it!
6. Return Lost Items To Their Rightful Home and Repair Damaged Items
An incredible amount of energy is released when we restore things to working order or to a position where they can be utilised again.
7. Respect All Living Creatures
From the cute puppy to the grasshopper on the table. All beings are sentient creatures who FEEL. So be kind to one another.
8. Plan Your Day According To How You Feel
Even if you 'have' to go to work. I'm sure there is still some flexibility with some choices. Go with the flow. Don't feel like going on that lunch you said you would try to make? Take care of yourself and reschedule. Planned to work on admin tasks but you just feel like being outside? GO OUTSIDE! The admin can and will be done later! Trust that there is enough time to get it all done.
These are just some ideas to get you started. Can you think of any more?
With love and hugs,
